Pay Per Gaze Coming Our Way

Afternoon Folks!

"Advertising is going to change more in the next 20 years than it has in the last 100. If you need proof of that, just look at the patent Google was granted Thursday for a Google Glass-based ad system."

I think Google came to be AFTER Impression Based Advertising was responsible for the first bubble.  Good for sellers of traffic, bad for advertisers looking for bang for the buck.

Here is the full story.

    Foolgle can’t even get the basics right like Google Checkout so the chances of them making a good cashflow out of this is approaching zero. They have a mountain of ‘on the shelf product’ that could be mined for profits but they can’t even apply enough lateral though or execution to materialise them.

    Google glass, another intellectual self flagellation exercise, oh look I’ve designed a better mousetrap, but nobody is buying them because I’ve not got them for sale and even if they were I wouldn’t know how to monetize them…. We’ll wash rinse and repeat with new technology out of Motorola next… you watch.

    @Reality bites:

    It reminds me of “Segway” vehicles of late nineties and early 2000’s; everybody and there grandmother was gonna ride one of those. Only thing constant, is change.
