You Sell Domains by Focusing on Buying Domains.

Morning Folks!!

I just never ever worry about selling domains. That has been my mindset since 1995. I ONLY focus on buying domains. But I try and focus on domains that would appeal to many.  As I stated in 1996, "This is a unique moment in history". It still is. Towards the end of that cycle? Yes!

All domains are unique but not all domains are in demand. You can't sell something that has no demand. Has to do with gravity! SIMPLE!!

So I watch domainers buy domains for all the wrong reasons and when they can't sell them they go broke. Don't buy to sell. Buy to accumulate and let them grow into trees not a blade of grass.

10 good domains in a portfolio trump 100,000 domains that don't mean anything and don't stand out.  You are looking for DIAMONDS not GLASS! Gold not tin. Water not dirt. Learn the difference or stop wasting your time, money and effort. You are working too hard and not getting anywhere.

I should not complain. Many of the most valuable domains I bought were from domainers and others that had no clue of the value of what they had. That is why YOU need to put a REAL and PROPER value on your domains and stop looking at fake tools like estibot or ANY automated valuation. They are all fake and bogus. Only for FOOLS! It's impossible to value a domain that way. It's a unique asset!! Assuming they have any value at all. Let's face it 80%+++ of the domains out there are real crap. They are worthless.

Rick I have 200 domains that are forwarded to my main website and generate 10000 visits a month. Not bad because I used you “no pigeon s—t” formula and it worked.

And as I have posted recently, I do want to take a moment to mention how in my opinion Estibot and the like have definitely caused so *much* harm to the industry, to everyone. Was thinking about that lately already. No question about it in my view and based on experience. Call it something else if you want, but do not call it anything even remotely resembling or leading people to even think of the term “appraisal.”

And for good measure, let’s not forget Estibot’s recent “appraisal” of crypto.com for a “sensible and harmless” $48,000, even after it sold. Perhaps they are still doing that (someone check)?

I have 375 domain names registered 95% (.com) of these total there are only three to be valued at more than 10 Million USD and I have them with a US broker, which you should know since he was also a pioneer domainer.

There are many other premium domains some are for sale and many others are for web projects, this past month of August I have invested in domain names (.com) for projects: Marketplace, Ecommerce, Domain Paking, Finance, Applications, Online advertising, video , and mobile, Stock Market, Social Network ….. all are different from those that are currently in the global market, innovation is the basis of a good business for a Startup I prefer not to depend on business I think it is better to have a product etc. patented and with trademark.

I will not always go with patents either, the strategy according to how the approaches in a niche of a market can be more profitable than to be pending of a patent, I am lucky to have worked in new methods of sales strategy to be able to face the attacks of the companies that take many years in the markets that we have in the spotlight.

I always like to surround myself with other innovative people and each one of us forms a team, this is like a music group in which there is not a single composer and lyricist, we all have our mission to innovate and share the same among ourselves and we go through the good way.

Rick, you are an example to follow always, write recently that you are not a domainer you a financial your Joint Ventures is what you imply in this post.

    Happy Day.
    Jose.
