Rick scores a pair of 6 figure sales with Back to Back Domain Deals

Morning Folks!!

Not often you get two separate 6 figure deals at the exact
same time. But on Monday afternoon that was
exactly what happened. The first one I can not release the details of as yet
only to say it was just under $200k.
The second one was SydneyHotels.com that I hand registered early on for $100 and sold for $100,000. Both
deals were clean, hassle free and met my criteria. Both parties found me. It just keeps validating what I have said since the day I got on the net. 'Domains will go up faster in value than any other asset in the history of mankind.' Never believed, yet never challenged. Theory turns into fact and it gets validated with nearly every reported domain deal.

I hope to report on the details in the upcoming weeks and will be releasing some .other news in the coming days.

Have a GREAT Day!
Rick Schwartz

    Rick,
First Congrtulations on your new sale success. We are also grateful to you for you have always been open to share your success stories with folks. I kept that note of you that nothing on earth appreciated in value faster than DOMAINS.
    With best wishes,
    Have a great Day!

You are the master! If you didn’t have credibility, buyers wouldn’t feel right about parting with their cash. You must make them feel good about their deal . . .

    Congrats… once again Rick :)
It amazes me that tourist boards who often have budgets in the tens of millions don’t have the sense to buy up domains like SydneyHotels.com – Its bizarre! Especially in this economic climate when everyone is fighting to stay afloat…but at least they do own Sydney.com
I’v seen loads of Swiftranks travel websites but this is the most memorable domain I’v seen…SWEET !! :)
Great sale – great buy – great domain, was it a straight sale or do you get a cut of future earning?
    Thanks for sharing

Swiftrank purchased Sydneyhotels.com and it was an outright acquisition. It isn’t the best domain in our portfolio – we acquired http://www.lasvegashotels.com earlier in the month but it is very nice. We understand the value of quality exact match domains. Was it a steal for Rich when he originally regged it for $100, sure, but it was also a fair price for us at $100k. Afterall someone paid $365,000 for CGM.com!!!

This was a good sale and a good purchase for both parties at a particular moment in time. Simple as that. 2 winners, no losers. Easy and quick.

    congrats
Rick, did they just contact you through a whois lookup or contact form? and did they offer or ask how much?
always interested to hear as many details as possible on how the deal went down
    thanks

The thing that is amazing about you Rick is that you make all these big deals for huge bucks and the whois info never changes on the domain name. Talk about having your cake and eating it too. Can you do a post about how you sell domains and get to keep them and the cash too. That would be really helpful.

The fact that someone paid 365K for cgm doesn’t make 100K for sydneyhotels a good deal dude BUT considering Rick paid 200K for Flowers.mobi you are looking like a genius. cough

    Hi Rick,
“Domains will go up faster in value than any other asset in the history of mankind.” Now this makes since. This is posted all over the internet that Bill Gates quoted it.

Sameole: The ultimate judge of value is the buyer. Sydneyhotels.com fills one of very few gaps in our portolio and the city is the largest tourist destination in Australia, and one of the larget in the Far East.
Yes our acquisition of say http://www.hongkonghotel.com for $10,000 or http://www.newyorkrestaurants.com for $10,000 would be considered better value on a stand alone basis but nonetheless this is fair value for both Rich and us.

Rick can your reveal a little statistics abut that domain. How many type-ins that domain receives monthly?

Rick’s 6 figure deals for SydneyHotels.com encouraged me to hand register AgendaHotels.Com. Any potential value?
-If checked in Google we get more type ins traffic with hiphenated name than non-hiphenated.
    Rick,
Morning! would you (or other folks) we seek your views on this point as you always advocated non-hiphen domains over hiphenated domains.
    Have a Good Day!

    Hello Graham,
If you are interested in checking our hotel domains list, please contact me.
As for Rick he did a giant flip, but that doesn’t mean that Graham won’t recover their money, they know what they are doing. Nowadays the money is on the local markets, and I think it will keep that way in the future.
    Thank you,
