WebNameSolution.com First to be Featured on HallofShame.com New Scammer Section!

Afternoon Folks!!

Our first scammer, and spammer is going to be WebNameSolution.com when we open up this week. They seem to get credit card numbers and then not fulfill the orders. That would take you to the next logical question. What are they doing with those credit card numbers? They have been at it for years and I think the way to stop these folks is to have their merchant accounts closed. The FBI needs to be investigating and closing these type operations down. But until then, circulation is king!

From a domain owner that had  a domain sold by Webnamesolution.com to ME last week and I received this TODAY when I contacted the owner:

"Thanks for the heads-up. We have never heard of this company "WebnameSolution" and are in no way affiliated with them.

I have advised our legal team of this scam."

Here is what RipoffReport.com had to say about them.

And if you do a search on Google, This is the junk they have to live with. They need to be shut down!

If you have been scammed by these folks, please leave a comment below.

If you have been scammed by a domainer or company and have the evidence, send it over for review. If a domainer backed out of a deal and you have the evidence, send it over for review. If you know a fake bidder and have the proof, send it over for review. If you keep getting spammed even after you ask several times to remove, send it over for review. This is the way to clean things up. You free to try your way.

    Rick,
Thank you so much. Someone sent me email with the intention to buy some domains as he got investor from Dubai to spend huge amount I asked him much he could offer me a particular domain. He offered USD15000 . Then he came up by sending a link from Russia for appraisal needed. Upon receiving the appraisal he would immediately place the order . Then I sent him appraisal and waited for the offer. Then he sent me a link to park with an Escrow co. And pay them Usd 20 who will do escrow transaction free. I asked him what about the initial offer. He just told me it is a suggestion.
Folks ! Be careful with such scammers. As he is the same person who was operating fake fake appraisal co. As well. This to alert folks not to be the victim like me . I may send the email communication , urls etc. once Rick approves to be published on Www. HallofShame.com

Tip for domain investors who may not realize this. Beware of front runners who approach you to buy names they don’t yet own. I once won a court case from a developer who sold us land they technically did not own.
Be sure to check whois to see if the name is owned by the person approaching you. Often times the emails we receive are from non-owners who hope to get your cash then buy the name on drop and keep the difference of what you paid.
Image provided examples in the past and in fact got a current one that I will share at your request Rick

What’s funny is the emails where they try to get you to buy names you’ve let drop (and that they probably don’t own).

Thank you for putting this all together Rick.

I know I’m late but really good Domain Sherpa interview too!

Google adsense probably should also be on hallofshame because so many domainers do not believe they are getting anything like the percentages that google is charging advertisers. We are supposed to be getting 61% of CPC but when you read Googles wording it says ‘Recognised by Google’ so likely the free advertising Google gives away is probably deducted etc.

Anyway the EU will sooner or later check Google out and if they aren’t playing a straight hand then they’ll get wacked.

Since visiting your blog and interacting we have what appears to be a very strange pop up window appearing whenever we access a website. The pop up is blank and just has two dots in the body of the pop and a burgundy colored header. We tried to delete it, access it and even rebooted twice.,.. this mysterious pop up window is somehow embedded and apparently cannot be deleted. Any ideas? The only other site visited/linked from this blog was the pool dot com site in an earlier post.

lol, you might want to run ‘spybot – search and destroy’ it was pretty good at finding and cleaning away stuff that the other bigger names couldn’t find, although MS defender has upped its game and finds it all seemingly now.

Meanwhile back here in good old blighty they have finally got to where I was saying it would be near a decade ago, ‘click and collect’ although Ebay is working with a ‘in theory’ competitor. So I do wonder about their long term plans for their own smaller retailers. Unless Argos is having discussions in the background around a merger with Ebay.
