Stupid, Beyond Stupid Marketing Blunders

Morning Folks!!

There have to be people that are completely brain dead that are running businesses and succeeding. What's your excuse? Below I have just a perfect example of BEYOND stupid.

So I get an item that I bought.

I want to order another one.

I get the package the item came in.

No return address. Just the address of the fulfilment center.

Luckily there is a card inside the envelope thanking me for my business.

One problem.

No contact info on the card.

No name, no phone number, no nothing.

Beyond stupid.

Funny
Certainly it is on the back of the card!!??

Here it is:

Have a GREAT Day!

Rick Schwartz

It happens when some one is running more than one online shop and they re-use the shipping labels. And then one day they get the bumper orders and they don’t have enough time to fill the labels.

    Hi Rick,
There are always lessons to learn aren’t there?

This could not happen if you ordered the product from their own unique website over ordering off eBays site.

    Hello Rick,
Talk about Marketing Blunders? How about all the Tech-Crunchy Wanna-be business 0wners that will be diving into the e-commerce ocean with only a .Whatever t-shirt on. If they are lucky enough to survive a few hours they are going to realize they should have started the journey with a .COM lifejacket on.

Quite possibly drop shipped, or the buyer simply doesn’t have their own website. Should be noted that Ebay makes it incredibly difficult to actually locate a buyers ‘store’ on their site. I’ve seen people searching for my ebay store via google and landing on my own URL site and its a pretty comprehensive search they need to find it on ebay.

    Hello Rick,
We all know that the Battle for Eyeballs on the internet is the marketing qwest of all major corporations. All these old and new .Whatevers are going to be used to attract more traffic. Google and other eyeball hoggers are hoping to divert traffic away from other .COM corporations through all the white noise and confusion these other extensions will cause. This Marketing Strategy will ultimately fail!
As we are all are experiencing the White noise of all the new .Whatever commentors and supporters and their cadre of Cubicle Drones efforts to sell their stategy, this is being noticed by major corporations and they are feeling very threatened by all of this.Their reaction is going to protect their own traffic interests. How will they do this?
The .COM corporations are going to double down on the .COM Brand as being a Web destination of CREDIBILITY CONSUMERS can TRUST. They will stress the CREDIBILITY and STABILITY of the .COM Brand. I assure you its all coming, you can Bank on it.
